This piece is a combination of things past and things present – an appropriate approach for a holiday video released around Christmas.
The visuals, created by Çiğdem Keresteci are inspired by Seljuk and Ottoman miniatures, re-interpreted using modern design tools and techniques. The music is a SID-chip (Commodore 64) adaptation of themes from compositions of J.S.Bach.
As with most of our video postcards, “0506” has been accompanied by a micro-site built for its release. Located at 0506.imagonewmedia.com, the site is a host to the video, a series of downloadable wallpapers and MP3s of the theme song in both modern and classic flavor.
