The university where I did my Master’s Degree in Graphic Design put really heavy emphasis on theory. In order to earn the required amount of credits I had to endure countless agonizing hours of poorly taught semiotics, post-modern philosophy, art critique and other useless crap. Seriously, how bored does the person have to be to draw a 3D representation of Sierpinski carpet… and then follow it up by the negative image of the form?
I drew this one in 2000, during one of the philosophy classes, while the lecturer was ranting for three hours about Derrida and Heideger.
