Future Friendly

Around two weeks ago I posted Blast from the Past: Imago Zoo – a series of wallpapers created for imago back around 2004. Today I am happy to show you three more renders from the imago promo series entitled Future Friendly.

They are slightly newer (2005 or 06 I believe) and feature cute, shiny robots I designed in Maya.

Geolines

This abstract background is a combination of swimming pool caustics and elevation lines used in topographical maps. It was created using “vanilla” After Effects, without any 3rd party plugins.

Witchcraft: RTFM

I completed this experimental piece over the period of three days in April 2009. I have been experimenting with Cinema 4D, and in the course of messing with various animation settings, came up with a cool morphing crystal. I built a simple scene around the crystal with an inexperienced girl magician blowing herself to pieces by activating its powers. Bici Bee #92: Galactica: Three Huge Spoilers

Today’s comic was drawn rendered after watching the final episode of Battlestar Galactica and contains 3 huge spoilers.

Galactica was rendered in Cinema 4D using a free model available online. Bici was rendered in Photoshop using Quba.

Bici Bee #46: Chi Stole My Wacom

Today Chi needed to use the Wacom tablet, so I wasn’t able to draw the new comic. Never fear, though, Maya comes to the rescue.

This video is a little test I did in Maya back in 2008, experimenting with softbody dynamics, inflation and deflation of nCloth and HDRI.
