Traveling

I am going to be away for the next 10 days, leaving the site relatively unattended. Thanks to the miracle of scheduled posts, however, there will be some fresh content coming out.

The Doodles&Noodles bonanza continues as every other day you will be presented with another sketch from my notebooks.

Additionally, be on a lookout for a very special four episode miniseries of Adventures of the Bici Bee featuring guest appearance by Kotoko the Kamikaze Sponge Ninja Assassin! Trust me, it’s big and you don’t wanna miss it!

If the fresh scheduled content is not enough, feel free to dig in the archives dating back all the way to 2002, check out the video tutorials, read some articles in brainstorm or post some comments around the site.

See you in 10 days!

Nothing to See Here

It is going to be a few slow news days for QubaHQ, as I am completely swamped with work and simply don’t have time to create or find new content. I have some cool things planned, so watch this space, but for a while things may get a bit more sparse.

Meanwhile, why don’t you hop on to http://chichiland.com/ and check some of Cigdem’s awesome illustrations? That should keep you occupied.

Chi Chi Land Re-launches

The new year re-design madness continues! Hot on the heels of the Quba HQ re-launch, I am proud to present to you new face of Chi Chi Land – a personal portfolio blog of Cigdem Keresteci.

The site contains wide variety of Cigdem’s works, from old web designs all the way to the most recent drawings, illustrations and paintings.

Custom Wordpress template was designed and implemented by Quba Michalski with art by Cigdem Keresteci.

Blog Operational – welcome to QubaHQ.com

After nearly a week of content transfer, QubaHQ is finally ready for public unveiling.

Nearly 200 posts have been brought here in order to create the definitive Quba site. Archives include:

  • Video Bits
Visual experiment and short motion graphics pieces
  • Adventures of the Bici Bee
All 115 original episodes of the webcomic – to be continued, soon
  • Brainstorm
All… 3… articles from my much neglected little big ideas blog (more coming)
  • Imago portfolio
The entire catalog of my works done at imago. Because having it just on the official site was not good enough.

Migration progress

OK, so I managed to move the entire contents Brainstorm and Video Bits to the “new and improved” QubaHQ.

Now “only” 114 episodes of the Adventures of the Bici Bee are left.

It’s lots of work, but I have to admit I am really digging the new look of the site. Enough of that whole Foldable Vegetable business :)

What’s happening here?

It has been a while since I updated any of my blogs. Bici Bee had his last episode in the middle of August 2009. Video Bits were gathering dust since September. Brainstorm… don’t even ask about that one.

Apparently multiple blogs are not my thing. Creating separate mini-site for every new idea did not work out. That is why I decided to consolidate all the content spread around various sites and domains into a final, decisive Quba HQ experience.

And that’s what you are looking at right now.

As the time passes I will migrate the posts into the archives of this new, final blog. They will maintain their original post dates, but comments will be lost – sorry about that. Simultaneously, I will be able to publish new posts on a wider variety of topics. Expect more rants, reviews, perhaps even a tutorial or two.

Now back to work. Got tons of posts to migrate.

Do not panic!

QubaHQ is undergoing some changes. We’ll be back very soon. Meanwhile feel free to explore the following:

imagonewmedia.com for Quba’s motion graphics
bi.qubahq.com for Adventures of the Bici Bee (webcomic)
bits.qubahq.com for Video Bits (visual experiments by Quba)
ideas.qubahq.com for Brainstorm: Quba’s little big ideas

See you soon!
